PROJECTMAXXING
I decided to work on three projects at once…..

i like to make things when the inspiration comes to me. typically, i only allow myself to work on more on one project at a time. i dont like hoarding yarn and or overstimulating myself. when the inspiration hit this time for three separate projects I decided that I couldn’t resist.
if you see me from time to time on notes, i’ve posted a few sneaky peakies. i wanna let you in on the projects and my motivation behind them.
i was watching the wonderful fabiana’s christina on youtube and she showed an image of this fab slouchy halter top from a brand i can’t remember the name of. it looked so easy to replicate that i couldn’t resist. i also thought of a few modifications that would make it super cool. The drawing above is my attempt at visualizing this top so that I could recreate it in the future.
i’ve been using freeform on my ipad to include my references to keep me excited about the project if I ever inevitably start to lose steam. i think it’s been working and i’ve made some great progress.
currently working up the front and i don’t like the edges :( seaming them together looks kind of messy. i’ll fix this in the next iteration.
i started this hood because Ive been wearing the hoods i made last year (due to extreme cold) realizing how amazing they are. (as per my review in notes) they are better for me since i usually have hairstyles that don’t do well in hats.
i made a bit of a mistake ordering the yarn. i wanted drops kid silk but instead i ordered drops brushed alpaca. the difference is minimal but drops kid silk has a bit of a spikier texture to it and brushed alpaca is more furry and soft. we will see how i feel in the end.
I might line it with satin to make it black girl friendly.

entrelac was the hardest part honestly. you guys will be gagged once i present this one as a full project. i decided to change the color because the navy blue i originally picked didn’t feel right. anddd i realized that wearing a navy blue clutch won’t work for me.
progress so far looks good. i’ve figured out this stitch so the world feels like it’s spinning right again.

Can't wait to see the finished products
That's so Jamaican. Lol
